Recipe: Delicious Chinese donuts

Chinese donuts. I LOVE chinese buffets too (good ones!) even for special occasions…. 🙂 I have never thought of making chinese donuts before. Thanks for the recipe and the great step-by-step guide! Hi Tessa, deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss.

Chinese donuts They're usually shaped like small, puffy cylinders. Some have fruit or cream fillings, while others are simply sugared dough. Chinese Donuts are my favorite snacks, even just listening to its name can make me feel happy. You can cook Chinese donuts using 3 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Chinese donuts

 1. You need 1 packages of Oil.
 2. It's 1 can of Bisquits.
 3. It's 1 cup of Sugar.

I have seen the oven version of the doughnut, but always think that the Chinese fried donuts are true love. And I often make my own fried Chinese sugar donuts. However, if I had to choose one particular dish, Chinese doughnut sticks (Youtiao, 油条) would be the one synonymous with breakfast across the country. Queuing up at a street stand to buy warm doughnut sticks is an early morning routine for many Chinese, just like how French people love fresh croissants from their favourite bakery.

Chinese donuts step by step

 1. Heat oil in deep fryer.
 2. Cut bisquit in 1/3.
 3. Roll in balls.
 4. Put in deep fryer cook until golden brown.
 5. Roll the donuts in sugar.
 6. Eat warm.

Traditional Chinese Donuts are called Youtiao. They are different than the ones you see at the Chinese buffet and are more of a cruller or churro type as you can see here. But we still call these Chinese Donuts because essentially that is what they label the ones at the buffets that we have experienced. If you've never had one of those tasty little donuts from your local Chinese restaurant, you're really missing out.

This Chinese donut recipe is a way to make a homemade version that is almost as good as the real thing! These little munchkin-type donuts are rolled in fried in a pan and dusted with sugar to create a hot and crispy, bite.
